About the Author

Brian Forbush

Ash + Alleluia grew out of a simple conviction: the practices of the Church are not ends in themselves. They are ways of learning to pay attention.

For centuries, Christians have marked sacred time, prayed the Daily Office, gathered around the Eucharist, and filled churches with beauty. These practices endure because they train us to notice what is easily overlooked: the presence of God in ordinary life.

I write from within the Episcopal tradition, but my hope is that these reflections speak to anyone drawn to the wisdom of the historic Christian faith. Whether exploring Scripture, the liturgical year, beauty, or everyday moments, my aim is always the same: to help readers recover a sacramental way of seeing the world.

Ash + Alleluia is an invitation to slow down, pay attention, and discover that the ordinary is often where grace is waiting to be found.

I’d love to hear from you.
